English is my mother tongue, but because of the cultural background of Malaysia where I was born and bred, I also speak Malay and some conversational Cantonese. I enjoy picking up new languages and culture as I can understand some Indonesian and am learning Spanish now! Although I am ethnically Chinese, I only started learning how to speak Chinese three years ago, and I am still learning so much, being here in Beijing.
I consider myself a bit of a foodie, as I enjoy eating food as much as talking about it, and have started taking a serious interest in the art and science of coffee!
Playing music and singing brings me to life, and I dabble in learning how to play some instruments like the piano and ukulele.
I also love helping others find out more about themselves, and hope to talk about some of those topics in our lecture series.
